Our client is an innovative Icelandic company that focuses on reducing global carbon emissions and mitigating the impacts of climate change. They are looking for a highly motivated IP professional, with a strong technical background, who is driven to contribute to climate recovery and work on continued international growth.

The Ideal Candidate will have:
  • Master’s degree (within Engineering, Earth sciences, Physics, Chemistry).
  • At least 5 years of experience within a technical role.
  • Good understanding of IP principles and patenting processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex technical information.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive approach, with the ability to independently manage tasks and contribute to team objectives.
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and commitment to the company’s mission.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Independently identifies potential IP during the early stages of R&D.
  • Analyses and evaluates innovations for their potential to be transformed into IP assets.
  • Takes charge of documenting innovations and prepares preliminary analyses for their potential as IP.
  • Works with the R&D team to align technical innovations with the company's IP strategy.
  • Ensures clear communication of technical details in patent applications in collaboration with inventors.
  • Manages the technical responses during the patent prosecution process, including addressing office actions.
