Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile Events professional to spearhead the development and launch of a new event within a global portfolio.
We are seeking a candidate with a strong commercial mindset and a proven track record of successfully launching events.
The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded expert with extensive experience in the media and events industry.

Responsibilities

  • Taking the lead on event strategy, planning, delivery and ensuring financial budgets are achieved
  • Leading progress meetings and reporting to the senior leadership team
  • Delivering internal strategy through collaboration with senior leadership team
  • Contributing thoughtfully to the overall strategy as part of the event leadership team & being a role model of the company culture and values. 
  • Displaying thoroughness and detail orientation about customer experience from prospect through to event execution. 
Requirements

  • 7+ years within senior management of a B2B events environment. A senior marketing background is preferable
  • Essential to have experience of launching an event, ideally on an international basis.
  • Experience in budget management, with an analytical, data-driven and structured approach to decision-making
  • Proven ability to manage teams and foster a culture of success
  • Ability to develop relationships across the business in order to share best practice and enhance team learning
  • Experience in stakeholder (internal and external) management
  • Proven track record in setting and hitting targets and KPIs with weekly reporting on performance updates
